Meet Priyanka Toshniwal!
Priyanka joined YouSendIt 6 months ago as the Product Manager for our mobile applications. She manages the mobile roadmap which includes: prioritizing features for various mobile applications (iOs, Android, Windows Phone), understanding use cases on the mobile workspace, building products to solve for those, and much more! What attracted you to join YouSendIt?
PT: YouSendIt is in a very hot space. I saw that YouSendIt was growing at a very fast and steady pace, with some great products already on the market. There was a lot of opportunity though to grow the mobile effort at YouSendIt. I also loved the vibe I got from everyone I met.
What is the future of mobile?
PT: Mobile apps are very important to any company; they allow companies to connect to their users in a whole new way.They are essentially equivalent to what the web meant to companies in the 90’s; most companies cannot live without a mobile app. With hybrid apps, the gap between mobile and web is getting narrower. There are more than a million apps between Apple App store and Google Play, and now with Windows Phone 8 around the corner, we are hitting some exciting times. Here at YouSendIt, we are looking to raise the bar of our mobile apps. Every day new apps continue to elevate customer expectations, so we want to meet and surpass those expectations our users have for YouSendIt’s service on a mobile device. We continue to evaluate use cases on mobile and consider how we can help make our apps more efficient for people to get their work done. We are starting by re-designing our iPhone app and working on a Windows Phone 8 app. I am very excited for the future of YouSendIt’s mobile apps!
