Secure Online Data Storage

Have you ever worried about your computer crashing and losing all your data? I have and do! That is why I was excited in July 2011 when we (YouSendIt) announced that we have online storage capabilities. I already used YouSendIt, of course, for sending large files, but now I could backup all my important documents online using the same tool.

All I needed to do was create a new folder within YouSendIt (desktop, web, or mobile). I like to use the desktop application because all I need to do is drag and drop my documents into the YouSendIt folder I just created. Then the app with automatically sync my uploaded files. I can then access my online data through my mobile device or the web. If you do not share the folder than it is private – only you can see and access it.

Do you use YouSendIt for online backup? If so, tell us you story of what you store in the cloud and how you access it.

Is there anybody out there can help me please...i downloaded one file thru YouSendIt, but may i please know if there's any expiration date to where my clients can view the downloaded file? If that so, YouSendIy will intimate me if the file already expired and cannot be viewed by the viewer?

Hope somebody can give a clear vision of my doubts...thanks for you help in advance :smileyhappy:

@Rowena,

With free acounts the expiration is set to 7 days. With a paid account you can set teh expiration of a file from 30 minutes to never expires. Once the file has expired, for security reasons we delete the file from our systems.

Hope that answers your question.

Best,

Katie
