You probably already use your YouSendIt Folders as a place to store files and folders (and if you don’t, feel free to take a minute to learn more about this great feature by taking a look at this video). Your YouSendIt Folders make for a convenient place to store data, and access it across multiple computers. If you frequently need to send the same files to clients (i.e. templates, contracts, terms of service documents, etc.), or if you have large files you need to send, you may want to consider saving them in your YouSendIt Folders, and then sending these files with the Select From Your Online Folders feature available in our Web App!
Select From Your Online Folders
To use this feature, you’re going to want to log into your YouSendIt account via the website (www.yousendit.com). This should bring you to the Send tab of the website, where you can send files to recipients. First, enter the email address(es)(required), subject line (optional), and a message (also optional); next, you’re going to select Select From YouSendIt Folders.
A box listing your YouSendIt Folders will appear, and you will be prompted to select a file to send. Locate the file you want to send in your folders, and select Add. Below, I’ve selected a large video file I’ve saved to my folders.
Next, you can modify the expiration and security options if you wish to. Once you’re done with this, click Send It.
This feature can be very useful, as it allows you to send large files you’ve stored online without having to upload them again, and send files you may not have stored on the computer you’re working on.
