Q: Why does my file get sent as a folder when I just want to send a link?
A: With folders, you can now store files permanently and share them with your recipients in a folder. You can do this using the familiar Send form. If you still want to send a link that will expire, then you have two options:
Q: Would the files I receive as a download link stay permanently?
A: No. Only files shared in folders will stay permanently. Download links will expire on their set date unless the file has been sent by a paid user who has explicitly marked the file link to never expire.
Q: I chose to save a file permanently after I sent a link to my recipients. Will my recipients get the link to my permanent file?

Click on the manageaction which will launch a dialog where you can edit the permissions for the folder.

A: Files once uploaded to a folder are kept permanently until either you or someone you have given View and Modify access to, deletes the file.
Q: I was invited to a shared folder. Can I add more recipients to the shared folder?
A: Currently, only owners (creators) of a folder can add other recipients. All other participants cannot add more recipients.
Q: If I forward a link to a shared folder to someone else, will they be able to see the contents of the folder?
A: Depending on the level of permissions set by the owner of a folder, the contents may or may not be visible. For folders with view only permission without recipient verification, the contents are visible to anyone who has a link to that folder. For all other types of folders, recipient verification is required before the contents can be seen.
Q: Can I send just a single file that I have stored in a folder instead of sharing the folder?
A: Yes. Click on the arrow icon adjacent to the file you wish to send. This will show you various actions that you can take on the folder. Click on the Send action. A: Click More in the Actions menu and select Manage. This will show you various actions that you can take on the folder. Select the Manage action. This will bring up a dialog that shows you all people you have shared that folder with. Click on the Remove icon next to invited users. This should remove the permissions for all the users and make the folder private.

A: By default, all folders are created private and they stay private until they are shared.
