In a recent post discussing last week’s Forrester CIO Forum, one of the major topics highlighted at the event was how mobility in the workforce is rapidly becoming mainstream—and the challenges the mobile enterprise presents to CIOs and IT organizations. When the Bureau of Labor Statistics released its quarterly jobs report last Friday, experts were quick to call the numbers “disappointing”, “dismal” and “anemic”. But not everything is bleak. While many job sectors are experiencing an employment bust, the technology sector—particularly in Silicon Valley—is clearly enjoying an employment boom.
