How much data are you trying to sync and also can you run a speedtest from our site at http://speedtest.yousendit.com and let me know the speed you have?

I'm having difficulty when trying to use the desktop app and sync on my pc - Some files have been syncd, others, the app clearly just refuses. And yes, I am syncing quite a lot of data (500MB?), but why else would I use yousendit?

I am trying to do a Desktop Sync on a Mac OS X 10.6.8. It takes hours. There must be something wrong with the program, because DropBox takes only seconds. I may go to DropBox, as someone suggested.

Hi, I've noticed that a lot of people are complaining about syncing files on a Mac. I'd like to join in as I, too, am very disappointed after parting with $99 for the Pro version! I've used YouSendIt reliably to send large files and never had a problem in years. Having used Dropbox, I thought YouSendIt Pro was working in the same way but offered a cheaper service. That is not the case. Files take an eternity to sync (days and days) and I really regret having paid for a service which does not provide what I expected. I'll learn my lesson and look into better (albeit more expensive) systems.

We are working on some bug and performance fixes right now that will help improve this sync app.

My files stopped syncing. I have pro plus.
Here is the result of the speed test.
Download Speed: 16182 kbps (2022.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 15633 kbps (1954.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: -1 ms

Can you look through all of your folders in the sync app and let me konw if any have a red icon on them. If so please move that folder to the desktop and try the sync again. There might be an issue with 1 file that is causing the sync to freeze

I am also still having issues with sync for Mac. I'm using ethernet, so it's not an issue with speed. I only sync using the YSI folder. There are 6 files with a red X, and it's been 3 days. How on earth am I supposed to send those files?? I can't be waiting days.

I am having the same problem as the other person, can you help?
Been syncing files for several weeks now no problems but since last night, it says its synced and it hasnt the files i have uploaded last night and this morning.
I did a test and the results were:
Download Speed: 2986 kbps (373.3 KB/sec transfer
Upload Speed: 628 kbps (78.5 KB/sec transfer
Latency: 172 ms
Packet Loss: 0%

Does seem like that's a bug. Can you click on the Support button at the top and then click on the Contact Support button to create a case with us. We will collect some log files from you that will help us to figure out exactly whats going on and get this fixed for you.

Still syncing...I dragged 10 folders which = 84 GB total, its been 36 hours and still syncing, not to mention the syncing when its like this completely shuts down my mbpro 2.9GHz i7 8 GB to the point where I can use it for nothing, unless I pause syncing of course.

I am having the same syncing problems on my Mac. Nothing uploads to the YouSendit cloud. I've had file sync on for weeks and the syncing icon churning 24/7 and not a single file gets added when I look at my cloud through a web browser. I've made numerous attempts at resolving this with customer support who seem clueless ("try syncing only one file") ("try standing on your head, spitting wooden nickles"). I want a solution wherein the service works as seamlessly as it is supposed to. When will YouSendIt A) admit there is a problem, B) give their customers a credit/refund and C) fix the issue so that the product works correctly?! Enough is enough!

I see you were trying to fix this bug in December.
I just joined PRO. It is now March. The same problem exists. Days go by and the upload lingers. I try it on my DROPBOX account and it is instant. Will this be resolved quickly. Or should I just stay with the tried and trusted DROPBOX feature?

I am also having sync problems - I have updated files on my laptop, they are reportedly synched, but the 'current' version on my desktop is not the updated version. Any ideas why this is happening? It isn't happening to al;l files - some (usually new files) are fine, it just seems to be the ones that were previously synched that are problematic, but not all of them.
I also have the problem where the sync doesn't happen fully, no idea why, no explanation, just the red icon instead of a tick over files - please can you fix this, you cannot claim to be a rival to Dropbox when this fundamental stuff isn't working reliably.

just tell us if this is all too hard it is better for us to know than to wait, and wait.......
This is kind of embarrasing for us all to try to use this as a business tool and tell our customers that the files will show up on their desktop when they start work on monday morning, only to see that on monday night we still see the little sync still churning away on our own desktop app.
this happens regardless of the file size or amount of data. sometimes i can kill the desktop app and restart it and it seems to behave for a while but it is very inconsistent behaviour.
please get some good developers to sort it asap as our patience can last only so long.
sorry for the short tone of this post... it comes out of a lot of frustration, over quite a few years.
while you are at it how about adding some functionality, eg
1. hover cursor over sync icon to show us how many files still remaining or how many files have been sent in past hour,
2. right click on sync icon / desktop app icon > launch web folders
3. does your team use dropbox? it may be worth them having a look at some very simple functionality that saves their users a lot of messing around.
i could understand if this was a beta version and YSI had only been running for 2 months but this is not the case.
once again sorry for the tone, i will apologies tomorrow.
