International languages support.

Hi.

What you guys think about being able to choose the recipient language message when sending a big file. I send lots of files to people who do not speak english and It would be great if they could receive an email in their own language saying that they have a file waiting for them to download.

All the best,

Fábio.

Re: International languages support.

Do you have more info, e.g.

- will the website www.yousendit.com be able to render in different local languages ?

- will the YSI Express Client be supporting local langauges  ?

- can the email notification be sent in local languages ?

- what are the langauges that will be supported ? e.g.  simplified Chinese, Japanese

Re: International languages support.

Your posting was some 11 months ago. Has anything happened on this front yet? When I upload files with Japanese names to my saved folders, they come out all garbled. This is a BIG PROBLEM for me as I deal with Japanese and English files.

Hello Noriann,

Thank you for your feedback, I understand your frustration. The good news is that we have started to internationalize our products, we are rolling out in phases the support next year. Stay tuned!

Re: International languages support.

Dear AWSH

Thank you for your questions, we are currently working on our internationalization plan, here is some of the info we can share now:

- will the website www.yousendit.com be able to render in different local languages ? yes, for the languages that will be supported.

- will the YSI Express Client be supporting local langauges  ? Yes

- can the email notification be sent in local languages ? yes, in the the language of the sender for now

- what are the langauges that will be supported ? e.g.  simplified Chinese, Japanese

We will have support for some European and Asian languages

What languages are you interested in?

Re: International languages support.

What's more important is that the files names can be non-Latin.

Re: International languages support.

I would like support for Japanese. Actually, the content seems to come through ok--it's the file names that get totally screwed up--comes out as all question marks and I can't figure out what they are until I open them.

On another note, this is something different, but it takes forever to synchronize the desktop YouSendIt folders that are suppose to work across various computers when you are signed in. I mean FOREVER, compared to Dropbox, which is uploaded and synced almost immediately.

Re: International languages support.

I hope you will allow someone to work with different languages. I want an English platform, but may wish to send a notice message in Japanese.

Re: International languages support.

My files have just, for no apparent reason, started being sent in French!  I've not changed anything!  How can I get it set back to English - any ideas gratefully received!

Re: International languages support.

First time I have this problem. I am sending a file to different email addresses (including Europe as usual) and the body of the yousendit email comes in Dutch and NOT IN ENGLISH as it used to be. Why? I did not change any language preference or I did not see options. Is this new? What do I have to to?

Re: International languages support.

Hello

We are just starting to test the NL language. This is what is probably happening, can you please check that your browser setting is in English? Got to Options, Language and Select English as your language setting. If you are still having an issue please let me know
